DDOS and forum performance

Just a heads up.

For the past couple days forum has been taking a bit of beating from a sizeable botnet, with around 200'000 bots hitting us, but mitigation measures are in place and working, mostly, so nothing really to worry about, however there might be some minor inconvenience during these days:
- you might occasionally see flashing screen with error about "resource exhaustion", which should clear after quick page refresh,
- other times you might see verification process spin up in your browser, which is automatic, and that sometimes might take few seconds, other times a bit longer, so just need a little patience to clear that and everything should be mostly ok, once client is verified, at least for some time.

The air cleared away from that pestilence, but because it's a second one in just half year and due of the size of the last wave, I think we'll have to keep bouncer as permanent fixture going forward.
Net is becoming very violent place, even more so than it used to be, and I prefer not to rely on remedies from mega-corps, until there's actual necessity, and for now we're ok.
Anyhow, during calm periods, bouncer will be running around at significantly reduced aggressiveness, to minimise disruption to everyone here.
