cheers!

Post by Harlequin »

What's up?

I have a keen interest in druidry, not as a neo-pagan faith but as a wisdom tradition of ''Britto-Canaanite'' grail mysticism. What I've found during my investigations has lead me to conclude that most, if not all the lore of the old druids still remains preserved, not far from plain sight. It need only to be uncovered and dusted off! One of my favorite hobbies would be studying obscure or rare occult manuscripts, paranormal investigations, alchemical/occult experiments or other arcane practices. I study and explore the lore, myth and legends as well as philosophy and the sciences; linguistics, mathematics, psychology, biology, anthropology and of course, esotericism and the occult. I've delved deeply into rune magick, Necronomicon/ Cthulhu mythos, Enochian, Thelema, ''Egyptian magick'' and Christian Mysticism.

Yeah, I've toyed around with some Druidic stuff as well. Did a post awhile back on the Awen key sound.

It's a good post. Concise and to the point, I appreciate that. I also like the continuity I can see between your insights and the greater tradition. When invoking the Awen I generally use aui or aouei.

Interesting variations. Yeah, when I first got into Druidry....it annoyed me that people would be talking about this key sound.....but no one seemed to have a deep understanding of what it was.....atleast to my technical satisfaction. So i had to do a little tinkering.

I mean, Awen literally speaks for itself. It's an onomatopoeia of blowing wind. It means poetic inspiration but at the same time conveys a quickening of intellect when we intone it's ''mantras'' in tandem with visualization and breath work . Reasonably, we could come to the conclusion that Awen is just another way to describe the living breath of the divine - like the Ond/ breath of Odin.

Gnosis is the only metric I trust.....but my experiences do align with your observation. When I previously used Awen.....it was a kind of "Cosmic Breath" that would blow downward into the energy body. Quite potent.
