Sacred sadness

Post by inMalkuth »

Wild flower sways
Petals catch dewdrops haze
"Ring the bell and wave thy wand"
I sing now of Choronzon

Heartfelt words have fallen from my lips
Bleeding vessel to dragons kiss
Should mine own fault have been
Naught but a scribble of my pen?

Wasteland years a wanderer be
I cannot escape this misery
Wrongly accused this life I led
Now I pray to simply be dead

Impossible thing, impossible thing!
What name have you, and whose bell did I ring?
Mine very soul upon which you feed
Mistakenly offered my heart did bleed

A fools error in mind and now, no mind at all
Blessed Truth cover me with thy shawl!
I lay broken and wasted, youth is gone
Another victim of Choronzon

Enough of this I stand and cry
An angry gaze at passersby
I run and I fight and I yield and I sway
A victim of my passion play

"All he had to do was die!"
And here I lay with my death cry
A living death, as I watch days fade
Thoughts and hopes all mislaid

There was no hope when it begun
An angel chorus has been sung
Laughing with joy but knowing pain
"Oh my Lord, I have been slain!"

Among the graves stands a soul that is knowing
All the secrets of nothing showing
Naught a mystery to possess
The naked virgin bares her breast

There will be no reason when this is through
All thy hopes and fears are true
Take up life with no sword drawn
Such is the will of Choronzon
