Original post: Samhain
According to a new reports, an Italian archeologist has found the palace of Romulus, the founder of Rome, on the Capitoline Hill, right where the myths said it was located. The building was much larger and more ornate than other buildings of the time. What caught my eye was the fact that this "palace" was approximately 1100 square feet, with an attached courtyard that was approximately 2600 square feet. Quite small actually, but apparently much larger than the average home of the time. It should be interesting to see what archeological information this dig eventually produces about the early days of Rome.
