Asking for help

I wish to be led by Amun-Ra in my life, and so wish for Him to offer his instructions on what I can do to make him happy be it buy statues, do tasks, etc.
What could I offer Him as a gift, or do for him so he may notice my intentions without forcing myself upon Him.
Many say egyptian gods pass in and out of their lives without even any invocation, this doesn't happent to me however and I'd like to change that.
Buy gold statues, light incense, offer foods He may like? suggestions?

You could always devise a ritual dedicating yourself to him. That seems to work often enough.

You could always learn Egyptian magic, and how they worshipped Ra.

Amun or Ra? as they formed to become the most powerful God can you still worship them directly as individuals leading to the same almighty power?

If it is Amun you wish to dedicate yourself to, then so be it. There is no need to force yourself into dedication to Amen-Ra if that is not where you are drawn. I would also like to point out that a lot of modern Kemetics (e.g. House of Netjer and Kemetic Orthodoxy) say that they were led to the faith by certain netjeru.
That really won't lead anywhere, as the state religion, upheld by the nisut and the friends of neter is different from the private religion of individuals. The nisut and friends of neter officiated as they did, on behalf of Kemet itself, and most texts on Egyptian religion, including heka (the two really should not be separated) are going to focus on that. You could always learn Egyptian magic, and how they worshipped Ra
All the neteru stem directly from Nun, and could easily be said to be mere faces of an undefined divine, thus the worship of any neter is going to lead to the same Source. Working strictly within a Kemetic (ancient or reconstructed) paradigm, even Set is a champion of maat.Amun or Ra? as they formed to become the most powerful God can you still worship them directly as individuals leading to the same almighty power?

Doc,
The unified source thing smacks of "Kemetic" reconstructive wishfull thinking. Got a citation for it?

You'll find it discussed in both Religion in Ancient Egypt, edited by Byron E. Shafer; and in Conceptions of God in Ancient Egypt: the One and the Many, by Erik Hornung. The latter text devotes more discussion throughout its pages to the questions of polytheism, monotheism, and henotheism.

The statue doesn't need to be gold. Most people in Egypt couldn't afford gold statues so theirs were made of stone. A nice cast resin would do just fine.
Incense is always good. Fine one you like and likely he'll like it too.
Not sure which specific foods he'd like since I've never delt with him myself but milk and honey and such are always a good choice.
Something you can do to make him like you more is stroke his ego. Always refer to him with some nice title infront of it like "Great and Powerful Amun-Ra", or "His Majesty Amun-Ra". They seem to like that *^_^*

i have never deicated anything, let alone to a god,
but as far as the idea of statue's, shino says a resin one will be fine, but i say ,
sculpt your own,be it stone, wood or metal, the dedication of making it,and perseverance, i'd be impressed as a diety

I'd agree it's better to make your own. Just that sculpting matterial can be expencive (though not nearly as much as a gold statue) and some people don't have the ability to carve their own.

im quite an artist when it comes to crafts so i guess it would be possible, however i think to buy one would be a lot easier and probably look a lot more like Him
failing that a plaster of paris sculpture could be made then painted by me so that it has a bit of my own heart in it

It's okay if it doesn't look exactly like him. As long as you know and he knows then it'd be fine.

hi
i worship him, and for those who argued that the unfied force of Amun-Ra was smacking of Kemeticism, im afraid he was worshipped as one god at Karnak from the New Kingdom around then, anyway, i have a statue of Ra in his falcon form but as Amun is the english form of the name which is translated from thr egyptian as the 'hidden one' i can justify not representing him. from my experience with working with him and i have spent much time on him in particular among my 10 patron gods, he loves a place near the sunshine unsurprisingly, he enjoys constant communication from you and an oracles you do he is also very helpful with. get a statue of him its a great way to communicate with him. i think he is one of the most open gods regarding how easily he shows how he feels about something.
hope this is useful

People argue against the unified force? Don't they read history books? I learned of the unification of Amun and Ra long before I ever even got into the occult perioud let alone Kemeticism.

I think a practical joke was played on me this morning as I got in a huff over something I was promised from him, I've asked for financial help but seeing my £200 left for the next 3 weeks isnt going to stretch, on top of that a £60 speeding fine is overdue, hence me getting a bit peeved.
shortly after I got angry i was presented with a huge traffic jam and a whole bottle of salad cream opened out into my bag full of cheque books, my wallet, my lunch, mobile phone etc. etc. it went all over the place and in my car, so yeah i believe he's fair, im just very impatient and no doubt hes working very hard in the background to help me.
cant wait, my statue of a ram is arriving soon, and a nice Ankh aswell, the gold statue of him in human form arrives next week. it will help me talk directly to him instead of thin air, i have a few rites to do on sunday so this will help even more, I just want to be close to him yunno?
I believe hes given me dreams for the last 3 days that show me different feelings a man can possess, almost like a taster of what could occure in my life and if i like it before taking the plunge

The arguement is not against the unification of Amun and Ra, but rather against the idea that all the netjeru are simply faces of Netjer (I know the capitals are a convention, but they serve the point).
The arguement is not against the unification of Amun and Ra, but rather against the idea that all the netjeru are simply faces of Netjer (I know the capitals are a convention, but they serve the point).
which doesnt make sense really as they combined to become the most powerful, which if faces of netjer should in theory be them same being in different forms.
if they get their individual power source from netjer then thats different as two sources of power are better than one obviously, but as a different representation i can't see it as there are differences in power levels between gods

It is not a matter of increasing the power of each face of the divine. It is a matter of human access to the divine.
Amun-Ra is not more powerful than both Amun and Ra, it is a different access point to the same power.

i can well understand the whole traffic jam thing and the spillage, well in my experience Amun-Ra is one of the more how shall i say, strict gods in a way. hes just as understanding as the others but you have to be very formal with him, getting cross at him directly or indirectly challenging his methods will result in a bad day lol i have learnt the hard way
