´´Sortes Homericae´´ try-out

Post by sol25querent »

Bought an oracle deck based on the Odyssey a couple of months ago purely because I liked the aesthetics of the pix.
I use oracle/tarot/kipper decks not for (in strict sense) divination, but just for general inspiration and communicating
with the Totality (Jungians would say the Self). Now I got a copy of the Odyssey (which I haven´t read btw) to see if
I can develop some sort of ´´rhapsodomancy´´ I can click with.

I recall reading that Homer's Odyssey has wrong geography as if the story has been moved to the Greek context.

Similarly Iona is not in the Ionian Sea.

Similarly with Old Testament geography. It fits much better in Arabia.
