Does anyone practice the "Bornless / Headless" rite with any kind or regularity and persistence?
That is to say, any of the "several extant or personal adaptions" of the original rite of exorcism from (PGM V. 96–172) the "Stele of Jeu the Hieroglyphist ".
I ask this in reference to using it as an Invocation of the "Agathodaimon / HGA / Higher Self". Of all the adaptations I favor Jason Miller's from "The Sorcerer's Secrets and/or revised 2nd edition, Real Sorcery" and "my" adaptation, of "his" adaption for my "personal" use. Thelemites may use or adapt Crowley's "Liber Samekh" for example. Persistent use of this rite (properly performed, it takes Lots of Practice!) may result in various Insights, and Synchronicities in the practitioner's life, some of which might be unsettling, IMO.
Like any "esoteric mystery" the results of this practice cannot be taught, but "must be experienced", this practice along with Meditation (No Mind), is a powerful combination to "Know Thyself", but it's a great deal of Hard Work, so not all succeed. Curious what others might have to say.

Re: Bornless / Headless Rite
I have never used that ritual but did become conscious of my HGA.
The HGA assists the human unless discouraged by brain damage, severe energy blocks, severe autism, severe dementia etc.
The HGA technically is a solar deva, referred to in standard Christianity both as the soul and as the guardian angel.
The HGA assists the human personality (physical, etheric, emotional and lower mental bodies) to connect to the higher mental (soul body) and later to the buddhic (heart) and atmic (spiritual will) bodies.
As the human persona becomes refined and aligned and transparent to Spirit, the HGA progressively withdraws. Eventually the Monad is able to operate directly through the persona (mask) and the HGA returns to its other duties.
So there is much work to be done by the persona before the HGA finds it easy to work with.

Interesting. Yep, it's hard work, "often" progress is slow requiring a lot of persistence.Amor wrote: Tue Jun 02, 2026 9:39 pm I have never used that ritual but did become conscious of my HGA.

I've tinkered with HGA tech for awhile now. Rufus Opus, Jason Miller, Frater Archer and many more occultists have given their opinion. I made a thread on the topic in another forum awhile back.....in which I was a noob and asking questions.....there is some good commentary within.

Thanks, I'm familiar with a lot of what's out there on the net. Sam Block "The Digital Ambler" is one of the best I've run across, plus a really cool and well grounded magician! There's so much on his blog that I was awe-struct at first. He's done an incredible job over quite a few separate essays, really worth while academic and practical work there, Great Magician, can't recommend his blog too highly!WildWolf wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2026 12:05 am I've tinkered with HGA tech for awhile now.
