Well hello.

Post by FoxGhost »

Greetings. Its been a while since i've participated in one of these communities. Not many communities left, really. Washed down in to the sewer that is reddit and social media.

Anyhow, i've been student of the occult since my teens. Which is a long time in my case. Studied far and wide and i am fairly confident in saying that i will at least have some knowledge in most occult traditions and practises. Though it means, of course, that most of my knowledge is fairly shallow beyond my chosen fields of chaos magik and energy work.

Glad to be here.

Hello.

I think people didn't lose interest in occult topics, they just simply got hooked on "doom scrolling" drug, so most got lost on platforms that do offer that, facebook, reddit, etc.

Nice name btw. I like foxes :)

Welcome. I've only recently returned to these forums myself, after a long absence, to trawl its archives for anything useful for a current project.
I hope it's a sign of things to come when the old guard all begin reappearing.

Wouldn't call them traditions per se, but Peter J. Carrols books are my basis in Chaos magik and Michelle Bellangers works do the same for energy work. Other actual traditions i've at least had a look at would make for a long post but magikal practises of wicca, shamanism and Aleister Crowleys works are some that i am more familiar with.

Perhaps my most important learning is never to trust a source/energy/entity before testing it.

I sniff its energy (citrus and lily are best), test how vertically upright is the stream of intent and examine the light-dark balance. Sometimes several testing cycles are needed.

I have been fooled too often to take things on faith
