The disciplines of Magickal Trance

Post by Clockwork Ghost »

Lesson Plan Title: The Disciplines of Magickal Trance

Concept / Topic To Teach: The basic techniques of magical consciousness.

Standards Addressed: These techniques come from the Chaos Magick paradigm, but applicable to all systems of magick.

General Goal(s): Students will be able to use focussed meditation and mind control in order to experience magickal consciousness.

Specific Objectives: Objectives are discipline specific, and are covered in the course material.

Required Materials: A copy of Liber MMM. This can be found in Peter Carroll's book 'Liber Null and Psychonaut', or found in PDF form online. It is suggested that students print out the PDF as a hard copy. The PDF is authorised as public domain, and the material is not specific to the IOT. You will also require an electronic dairy that is divided into sections by date and runs off your computer operating system. You will be copying material from your personal journal where needed.

Anticipatory Set (Lead-In): Read through Liber MMM in full and familiarise yourself with the independent steps, their aims, and the way the material flows from one specific lesson to the next.

Step-By-Step Procedures: I will be running guided use of Liber MMM and will be offering advice on how to use the document, fielding questions regarding the lessons, and encouraging others to push themselves in regards to the disciplines it addresses. This lesson will be conducted on the Occult Forum.org School of Magick board.

Plan For Independent Practice: Students will be required to take part in each discipline and report their results back to the group. Liber MMM is itself a study tool, the school acting as a platform for its guided use and questions regarding its application.

- Closure (Reflect Anticipatory Set): This course will run for six months. Students will be able to use the disciplines covered in Liber MMM in relation to their day to day practice by the end of the six months.

- Assessment Based On Objectives: Objectives are lesson specific, and are covered in course material.

- Adaptations (For Students With Learning Disabilities): Issues will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

- Extensions (For Gifted Students): Gifted students will be directed to other material which uses similar disciplines. This will be done on a case ny case basis through discussion with the student, and will cater for their own specific magickal paradigm.

- Possible Connections To Other Subjects: Yoga, personal metamorphosis, and the basic techniques of many other systems of magick.

There is no Lucifer to folow, no God to obey
There is no Hell for punishment, no Heaven for reward
There are no Demons to fear, no Angels to listen
There is you and your fate
Wake up Alice
You are in Truthland.

You can start anytime you wish. Just refer to the practices and write down your experiences afterwards [thumbup]
