What's the issue you are having when posting images?

That sounds unusual. Sessions not meant to last indefinitely, but 5-10 minutes sounds way too short. I've not noticed anything like that myself.
Who is your ISP? Are they known for spying, packet sniffing?
At least where I'm at, most of the net became almost unusable without a VPN, over the past few ...

We're moving all traffic over trough cloudflare.
I'll leave things as is for a day or two, for DNS changes to propagate with minimal disruption, but after a day or two all direct traffic will be blocked, so if anybody start seeing 403 or similar errors, you'll need to purge your browser cache.

Previous wave was mostly from one specific country, so it was fairly easy to deal with. This one is from all over the globe, making everything a lot more complicated.
Anyway, I'm making some major changes, and as a result users might see issues reaching forum and might even need to clear browser ...

I just wish all the traffic would be humans, and not a 100'000 bots for every 1 human.

The air cleared away from that pestilence, but because it's a second one in just half year and due of the size of the last wave, I think we'll have to keep bouncer as permanent fixture going forward.

For the past couple days forum has been taking a bit of beating from a sizeable botnet, with around 200'000 bots hitting us, but mitigation measures are in place and working, mostly, so nothing really to worry about, however there might be some minor inconvenience during these days ...

I don't believe there is anything, at least in terms of traditional "magic", which could help with such things. At least I don't recall seeing or hearing anything related to something like that. Brain is very complex peace of hardware, and all changes to it ...
